The only way to earn these cards is through FUT packs or via the FUT Marketplace. Players will have one week to grind through FIFA Ultimate Team mode and collect currency to purchase cards and hope to find one of the 23 units featured this week or buy them from someone else using the game’s marketplace.
TOTW cards are usually some of the most expensive units on the market, with low-end cards selling for as little as 10,000 FUT coins, so gamers looking to make a quick profit can take advantage of the quick-sell feature. If the bidding and buying game isn’t the preferred method, they can simply play the online mode and hope to find a featured card in one of the packs they open.
These units are exceptionally unique, especially when it comes to their involvement in the Squad Building Challenge mode. They are extremely useful in a player’s progress to SBC goals, some of which require a player to have at least one TOTW unit involved. With each squad challenge requiring certain conditions to be met, it’ll be wise for those interested in this mode to begin stockpiling packs and currency and build towards earning some of the biggest names of the week. Completing both SBCs also grants players special rewards, such as a premium gold players pack.
FIFA 22 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
